Diabetic Innovations has over 95 years of healthcare experience and 150 years of management experience. Diabetic Innovations partners with medical & healthcare providers to help treat and care for their patients. Our Medical staff specializes in diabetes and they are able to communicate and educate the patients.

Mission
Diabetic Innovations only existence is to “STOP THE SUFFERING” of Diabetes and move patients to a state of wellness and feeling they can “Enjoy Life with Diabetes”. To build clinics and bring Cellular Activation Therapy (C.A.T.) to the millions of people whose lives are being cut short due to the secondary complications of Diabetes.

Don Lancaster - President and CEO, Diabetic Innovations, LLC (Back to the top)

Don Lancaster has over 18 years experience in managed care/healthcare and is currently President & CEO of Diabetic Innovations, LLC.  Also Don is doing managed care consulting for a new hospital in Dallas.  Prior to this Don worked for CIGNA Healthcare of Texas, Inc. as Manager, Contracting and Network Development.  In this position, Don was responsible for the north TX market with a total budget of over $630 million.  Don and his team of 6 contractors were involved in major contract negotiations with large hospital systems, IPA’s, multi-specialty groups, and ancillaries.  Through Don’s leadership, his team saved CIGNA and its clients over $20 million in contract renegotiations since 2002.  Don is currently associated with DFW Managed Care Forum and was selected as Dallas/Ft. Worth’s Who’s Who among Healthcare Executives. 

Don got his start in managed care right out of college with Provider Networks of America (PRO-NET).  In this position, Don started as a physician recruiter and quickly moved into hospital contracting and had a territory that consisted of Texas and all Western states. Don then accepted a position with Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC).  In this position, Don sold Medicare supplement that was sponsored by BUMC.  During this time, Don won two Gold Awards for outstanding sales achievements.  Later, Don went on to become a trainer of the sales team.  After two years, Don went on to HealthSmart Preferred Care as a Regional Director of Network Development.  He was in charge of opening and managing the entire Dallas office.  Don and his staff developed the DFW market within 8 months which consisted of obtaining direct contracts that were through a third party.  Don has many years of network and project management experience with millions of dollars at stake.   


Melanie Kunz - President and CEO, MedEdCo, LLC (Back to the top)

Melanie Kunz, NP: Melanie is the Director of Training and Clinical Oversight and is the person responsible for training personnel and overseeing proper clinical care. Melanie has more clinical experience in CAT protocol development than any other practitioner. She currently is also in charge of four new study protocols quantifying the dramatic outcomes from CAT. Melanie has been a Nurse Practitioner since 1996 (San Jose State), with accompanying undergraduate degrees, including women’s health. She was in charge of high-risk obstetrics and Perinatal Medicine at the Medical Group of Northern Nevada, where she personally managed hundreds of diabetic patients. She has a broad background in new product development, including managing a division of CareLink and forming MedTriage Inc. Melanie is the President and CEO of MedEdCo, the medical training and oversight company for Diabetic Innovations..


Gregory F. Gilbert - CEO, Bionica, Inc. (Back to the top)

Gregory F. Gilbert has diverse background in law, business, engineering, medical science, and manufacturing.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Accounting from Grand Canyon University, and a Juris Doctorate from University of the Pacific.  He has over 10 years of University Studies in Aeronautical Engineering, Medicine, and postgraduate international law. 

Mr. Gilbert’s law practice includes, pharmaceutical, medical, clinical trial, and international business matters.  Since 1975, Mr. Gilbert has practiced law in Sacramento, California. Former partners of his firm include a Justice of the California Court of Appeals, Justice of the United States Supreme Court and the Sacramento District Attorney.   

His patents and inventions include fluid handling systems, medical pumps, tissue reduction systems, heavy equipment for construction, and topical pain elimination devices. Manufacturing experience includes building production plants, concrete buggies, and silos, patching vehicles, environmental control systems for high-rise buildings, and high performance automobile engines.  

Mr. Gilbert has served as counsel or board of directors member of the Diabetes Association of Sacramento, Home Medical Services, Inc., and Novartis.  He was selected as volunteer of the year for the American Diabetes Association, Northern California, and named as a Philanthropist of the Year for Central California.  He has served on the Institutional Review Board currently overseeing sponsored research into new drugs and new therapies.  He has been a member of the board of directors of numerous public and private companies, where he has taken a leading role in product development and law.

(basic medical research); Vyrex Corporation (new pharmaceutical compounds), Hamilton-Clarke Industries (engine manufacturing); AMSys Corporation, (diabetes clinic company); Diabetes Research Institute (affiliated with University of California, Davis);  Xentrol Pharma of Puerto Rico,  (new compounds company); American Devices and Fluidics (fluid control equipment); Advanced Medical Applications (Medical Informatics and EMR ); L&H Airco, (building systems); HiEnergy Technologies, (testing by neutron beam); Ford Morse Corporation, (medical marketing company); Visiting Nurse Association, (home health agency), General Technologies (assisted hearing), Reaction Thermal Storage Systems (an affiliate of Carrier Corp.), and U.S. South (formerly InComm, telecommunications company). 

Mr. Gilbert is CEO of Bionica, Inc., the FDA certified manufacturer of the Bionica Pump used in the delivery of Cellular Activation, and the CEO of Hamilton PNG, (pharmaceuticals).  Mr. Gilbert and/or Bionica, Inc. hold the intellectual properties rights to CAT (Pulsatile Insulin Therapy) and the Bionica Pump.


Beverley Hill - Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist (Back to the top)

Beverley Hill is a health care consultant, well recognized for her expertise and integrity in compliance, auditing, chart documentation and billing. She offers over 25 years of experience in dealing with complex issues involving physician reimbursement, DME (durable medical equipment), coding, and compliance. Beverley has also been a featured speaker on coding issues. As a consultant, she provides accounts receivable recovery, training, and education. Her experience, in addition to owning a billing company, includes performing as an Independent Reviewer for a physician under an OIG Corporate Integrity Agreement reporting to the Office of Inspector General’s Auditor.


Sandi Ross - Healthcare Consultant (Back to the top)

Sandi Ross has over 30 years’ experience as a consultant and practitioner in the health care industry. In 1985, prior to becoming a Partner in Physicians Business Services, a national medical consulting firm, she served as the Vice President of Marketing for the Harris Methodist Health System in Fort Worth, Texas where she specialized in hospital acquisitions and the development of marketing strategies for hospitals, medical staffs and ancillary health care providers.  Sandi was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and Tyler where she taught the first mandatory course in practice management for the Department of Family Practice.   She is a co-author of The Medical Practice Handbook published by Medical Economics and has presented workshops and seminars on practice initiation, marketing, and management for local, state and national organizations. She also served as the Regional Vice President for Managed Care for John Alden Health Insurance in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. 

Sandi is a member of the Network for Executive Women; American Association of University Women; National Medical Group Management Association, and the American Healthcare Legal Association.  She was selected by Texas Women’s University as one of the Outstanding Women Executives in Texas.
